Galplanaut ~ Ye Galearthéan Scientific Explorer

Read our Mission Statement

GIOFEST would like to introduce the Galplanaut unto our world scientific terminology and academic community.

Galplanaut: noun; a space faring galplanologist who explores the Galearthéan supermassive planar disc through the near adjacent surrounding cosmos, or galactic bulge.

Aye, the Galplanaut is then the Galearthéan equivalent of an “astronaut”, yet focussing primarily on near adjacent space travel. Indeed this travel includes neighbouring stars and planets, such as the Antarctic Star, the Moon, Mars and Saturn, but interstellar or thus intergalactic travel is not an aspect of this occupation.

The enormity of our planar disc means it is impractical to vacate the near space field, since it would be akin to leaving and voyaging far beyond the “heliocentric solar system”, by comparison.

One must remember Galearthéa is a type of galaxy and therefore harbouring a similarly phenomenal size and dimension, at least in relative terms.

Aye, the exact size and dimension of Galearthéa is unknown and yet will remain so until Galearthéans develop the capability of warp drive or similarly powerful propulsion.

Until that pioneering moment, please welcome the Galplanaut.
